Teaching Proper Technique with Correct Terminology

dancing figure
We teach age appropriate moves. Children who learn complicated steps too young often develop bad habits that are difficult to break. Our young students receive a solid base in rhythm, placement, quality of movement and age appropriate steps in a fun, creative and encouraging environment.
dancing figure
Our students receive a strong technical base in ballet. Even students who favor other styles need ballet to perform those styles with correct technique. A strong background in ballet can also prevent injuries.

We only hire teachers who are qualified, loving, and kind.

Valuing Every Student

dancer icon
Every student has tremendous personal value, regardless of shape, size, age and natural ability. Our teachers respect and appreciate every student’s unique and valuable contribution and students will be taught to do the same. We want a studio environment where each student feels loved by his or her teacher and peers.
dancer icon
We recognize that each students dances with us for different reasons.  Some are here to make friends, some want exercise, some want to make drill team, and some might even want to become a professional ballerina!  We respect your child's motive and strive to create a space for them to achieve their purpose.

Teaching How to Achieve Personal Goals

dancing figure
We teach our students how to work hard and to reach outside of their comfort zones as well as how to set goals and achieve them.
dancing figure
We teach students to focus inward on their own goals. Dancers who are constantly comparing themselves to others often lack the mental focus to work on their own progress. They feel frustrated when they don’t measure up to another. We teach our dancers to focus inward on their own goals, and their own value, so they can feel pride and accomplishment in what they achieve regardless of what those around them are doing.

Appreciating the Art and Personal Joy of Dance

dancer icon
Our dancers perform dances that are artistic, meaningful and fun.
dancer icon
Our students appreciate the joy dancing can bring to themselves and others. Instead of telling students to be “The Best,” we will encourage them to be “Their Best” and to find fulfillment in every stage of their personal dancing journey.
dancer icon
Our dancers learn to express their ideas, passions and emotions through dance.

Our college educated dance teachers are committed to treating each student with kindness and respect

Using Talents to Serve Others

dancing figure
Our students are taught to use their talents to bring joy to others. We do this through service performances. Whether it is for an inspirational fireside, a fundraiser for a good cause, a dance to raise awareness to an issue or a performance for a care center, we teach our students to share their talents in meaningful ways.

Valuing Your Student's and Your Family's Time

dancer icon
We understand that the time commitment your child makes if they decide to take all the company and unlimited classes is tremendous and may sound intimidating. We believe it is the bare minimum required to flourish in collegiate dance. The hours we offer are comparable to high quality studios in Utah Valley.
dancer icon
We recognize that nothing is more important than family.  We try to limit how many days a week we take from your family .  We never penalize dancers when they have a family event that takes precedence over a class or performance.  We are here to serve your family, not the other way round.
dancer icon
We set aside time to teach technique and time to teach choreography. Learning dances should never take so much time that a student misses out on technique.
dancer icon
Most studios teach tumbling one day a week, jazz one day a week, ballet one day a week and so forth. This forces you to run your child around multiple days a week for relatively short classes. We teach a variety of styles in a large block of time so our students get the same amount of hours per week in training, but you do far less driving.
dancer icon
We offer summer classes but do not require them. Summer classes are a great resource for students who are serious about progressing. However, we also realize that sometimes kids need a break, and sometimes families need to take a step back and have more time together.

Our Zero Competition Philosophy

dancing figure
There are many valuable things a student can learn from competitions: how to work as a team, rely on others and be relied upon and strive for a goal. Although we recognize the benefits of competitions, the overall sentiment is not consistent with the goals of this studio. Competitions teach students to compare themselves to others.
dancing figure
We want our students to find fulfillment in their own self-value and in the joy of this beautiful art. Competitions are expensive and time-consuming which can put a strain on your family’s time and resources. We do not feel comfortable asking for any more than the bare minimum when it comes to time and money.
dancing figure
There are many places a student can enjoy the benefits of competing, whether it’s a drill team, a cheer squad or even an additional class at another dance studio. However, we want this studio to be a learning environment, one in which we can put the needs of individual students above the need to make a class win first place in a competition.
dancing figure
We don’t just want to put the best students in front. We want everyone to burn bright. As teachers, we want our focus to be on each unique individual.
